Paraskevas built the hotel on the family plot, with stone quarried in Mani and masons from the surrounding villages. He was on site every day — which is why the walls match the houses across the road rather than whatever was cheapest.
It never changed hands and never became a chain. The man who supervised the building is the one who meets you at reception — and he knows which room catches the afternoon sun.
